Where it all began

Papenhuder Strasse, 1948.

"To bake the best products from the best ingredients according to the proven rules of craftsmanship."

Kurt Pritsch Senior opened his bakery and pastry in Uhlenhorst with this claim. What began as a small neighborhood bakery is now an integral part of the district.

The smell of freshly baked goods wafts through the streets in the morning - then as now.

Three generations, one promise

From Kurt Senior to Kurt Junior and Susanne to Max Pritsch, who is now the managing director.

Each generation has preserved and carefully developed the values of the founder. New specialties enrich the range - the solid principles are not shaken.

Appliances with a history

Many of the machines in our bakery date back to the early days.

The historic bread roll press, for example - a bit of technology is allowed, but no "bread roll line", please.

The wicker boxes in which the rye sourdough rests are also a living tradition.

Freshly baked ciabatta loaves with a crispy crust

Carlo Cametti, owner of Ristorante Roma, asked Kurt Pritsch Senior for a special bread. The result: our legendary Roman-style ciabatta.

The soft dough sticks like the devil - taming it requires hands like those of a juggler. Kneaded according to our purity law: Wheat flour, water, yeast, sea salt.

Our bread classics

Black bread - sourdough made from the best grist and grain, shaped in the traditional way and baked slowly.

Spelt pumpkin bread - our crowd favorite. Juicy, aromatic and with a fine pumpkin seed flavor.

Country baguette - crispy crust, fluffy crumb. Fresh from the oven several times a day.
